December 7th, 2pm: Pet Portrait Embroidery Workshop

WHAT: Learn basic embroidery as you create a super special ornament featuring your best friend! Suitable for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike, you'll create a precious, one-of-a-kind ornament just in time for holiday decorating or gift-giving. 

In this workshop, master embroidery artist Hannah Lamar will teach you basic embroidery techniques as you create a one-of-a-kind linework/outline portrait of your beloved pet on a 3" hoop. You will learn basic embroidery stitches, how to finish your hoop and some of Hannah's favorite tips and techniques for linework embroidery. This is a great opportunity to learn a new craft or a rewarding hobby with expert support as you get started!

You will leave the workshop with your project well underway and take home a digital pattern guide and stitch-style library with links to video tutorials should you need refreshers as you complete your masterpiece at home.

No prior knowledge or skills are required, though some experience with fibers can be helpful

You'll get a DIY embroidery kit including:

• A custom-designed pattern of your pet pre-printed on 100% cotton fabric
• A high-quality 3" beechwood embroidery hoop
• Peacock embroidery scissors
• Two needles
• Cotton embroidery floss in your choice of black, brown, or dark gray
• Hemp cord
• A band-aid
• Digital PDFs of step-by-step instructions and a stitch style guide with graphics demonstrating basic stitches
• Links to video tutorials on YouTube

Accessibility: our workshops take place on the second floor of our building, so the ability to climb stairs is necessary. If you cannot climb stairs, don't hesitate to contact us for other options.

Cancellation Policy: Please inform us of cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled time for store credit. Cancellations after 48 hours of the scheduled time will not receive a refund. The Parcel Flower Co. may cancel the class if minimum attendance is not met. We will notify all registered participants 48 hours in advance if this is the case and issue a full refund.
